MyPretest.com was first launched in June 2006 after a 1-year study of the Indian test preparation market. The objective was to study how technology could be leveraged to aid the students in their preparation of key Indian and overseas test. The study was backed by Education experts, e-Learning evangelists, coaches and mentors of popular Indian entrance tests. While conducting this research, the team mapped the US test preparation market, met the early adapters to e learning in the US and tried to understand the pros and cons of on-line teaching. |

- It allows analysis not possible otherwise – dissecting data points to get results like comparative scores, live percentile scores, comparative charts, historical scores
- It allows content to be updated and distributed immediately
- It allows collaboration among students and encourages peer to peer contributions
- Can facilitate virtual classrooms

However, we did not celebrate after the above findings. We had a huge mandate: to ensure success of our students. We therefore started small. In 2006 we launched with a few select subjects and classes for 10th to 12th grades. It was a silent launch only with on-line and word of mouth publicity. The results were astonishing. A couple of times our server got clogged and we had to pull down the site for a few hours. 2006-07 was then focused to ramp up content in key areas like MBA, BBA and IAS. In each of the areas we partnered with folks who were successful in classroom coaching. Thus we did not have to wait long to get good quality tests running for all our segments. We have since updated the web site with many new features and incorporated suggestions from customers. And we continue to look for your support in making MyPretest.com a preferred destination for on-line test preparation.
